However, the fabric of the bag is ultra resistant and Decathlon is proud to offer this warranty for any defect that could appear in the next 10 years. The backpack is excellent in quality and ruggedness. The pockets are beneficial when you are on the go. The built is rugged and very nice for hiking and other backpack travelers.
Impressions after the first use: the stopper tightening the drawstring of the main compartment did not hold the drawstring, the side pockets were of little use when the backpack was full, a small water bottle kept falling out of the mesh pocket - it was impossible to secure it with the drawstring straps because they were too high, and a large water bottle could not be secured it fits into a pocket, the pocket on the hip belt only holds handkerchiefs or something small - it won't fit a smartphone, it's very roomy, the straps can be adjusted in height, the elastic band on the flap is too short - it's hard to put the storm jacket on. Overall, it served its purpose. A huge plus for the bag's opening system.
I have used many technical bags throughout my 35 years of outdoor sports and mountaineering life, such as North face, millet, lowe, vaude, ferrino etc.. Unfortunately, the zipper broke down at the first use, less than a month and a half after I bought this bag. So to speak, he gave up midway. I would also like to point out that I bought it just to use it on intercity roads, but the first time I used it, it let me down during my trip to Ayvalık. This situation was truly sad. If I had to explain the cons of the bag, first of all it is very unstable. Since there is 1 back support, the bag tends to tilt left and right while carrying it. Even though I adjusted the straps and adjusted the back size, it still tends to lean backwards during transportation. In short, it is a really inadequate and tiring bag for outdoor sports. My advice to friends who do outdoor sports would be to spend a little more money and buy a more technical bag.

Good quality for the price. Enough pockets. More suitable for 1-2 day treks. A larger one would probably be needed for a trip of several days. But fully sufficient for school or smaller family trips. We wanted something that our 12-year-old daughter could carry comfortably on overnight school trips, and it did the trick.
good value for money the straps are rigid and therefore not very pleasant when the backpack is loaded I think that with time they will become better and it will be better we can easily compartmentalize the bag with travel pouches and the opening is really practical not having to search for clothes at the bottom of the bag
I find the quality of the canvas a little cheap, less flexible and less thick than other older bags from the brand that I still own. We'll see what happens over time. The carrying comfort is very good, and everything is done and well designed to adjust the settings. The carrying capacity is really good, I sometimes fit a PC tower in it... Quite a few exterior pockets. One is missing with a closure inside the bag, for truly valuable items. (wallet, cell phone, jewelry, etc.), as well as a hard shell for glasses. The value for money is good. At €39.90, it would be perfect. There, €50 is a bit stingy, especially with this supposed drop in quality of the canvas. I also find that the clip-on buckles are lighter and more fragile than the old ones.
We bought this backpack for my son to go camping and hiking and it was great for him.
It is the second one I have bought, there is nothing better for this price. Good quality and very durable materials. Perfect for any trip.
The pocket on the waistband is too small, you can't hide much there.

How do i fill my bag for optimal comfort?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. You can place mats under the flap if there is no space inside; Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
How to adjust your backpack height?
Set the bag for the height you think will be correct and then adjust it (see. InchHow do I adjust my backpack?Inch). With the belt on your pelvis, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders and the load adjuster straps (which are sometimes also height-adjustable) at an angle of around 45° (they should never be horizontal or vertical). When trying it on, if the back seems too short or too long, readjust and try again until you are satisfied.
How do i adjust my backpack?
First, loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). Put the backpack on. For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. With smaller size bags, place around waist. Tighten the shoulder straps. Finally, adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
How is bag volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. We then empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres, with a tolerance of a few percent.The weight indicated is that of our benchmark sample. There may be slight variations.
10-year guarantee
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty will only be granted upon presentation of the receipt and the product, if the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged, free of charge.
